More than 45 parliamentarians, experts and civil society representatives from the OSCE region are taking part in the workshop.

In her presentation, Ms. Popovska spoke about the good practices from the Republic of Macedonia regarding establishing and management of parliamentary structures for women.

The discussions will enable the participants interested in setting up such structures in their countries to articulate their problems, priorities and needs, as well as to learn more about the role of OSCE and other international bodies in providing support to the women parliamentarians on national level.

During their stay in Vienna the women MPs will meet the Speaker of the Austrian Parliament Ms. Barbara Prammer, the Austrian Federal Minister for Women and Civil Service Ms. Gabriele Heinisch-Hosek, as well members of the Committee for Gender Equality of the Austrian Parliament, and share their experiences in advancing women’s interests in the national parliaments.
