Meeting of the President Xhaferi and the State Minister on Foreign Affairs of Japan, H.E. Kazuyuki Nakane
At the today’s meeting with the State Minister on Foreign Affairs of Japan, H.E. Kazuyuki Nakane, the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia expressed appreciation and pleasure from the visit of the high Japanese Delegation on the occasion of the opening of the Embassy of Japan to the Republic of Macedonia and expectation this to be a good opportunity for intensification and deepening the relations between the two states.
The President Xhaferi underlined that the opening of the Japanese Embassy to the Republic of Macedonia will be an impetus for stronger cooperation in the future, and that the geographic distance should not be an obstacle in the development of the overall relations of the two states.
The President Xhaferi informed the Japanese Minister that the Parliamentary Group for Cooperation with the Parliament of Japan is established, and emphasized that the cooperation between the two states should be in the area of economy, education and culture.
The State Minister on Foreign Affairs of Japan underlined that Japan and Macedonia have great potential for cooperation in many areas. He supported the new Macedonian Government, as a first step that leads to stabilization, as well as support of the Euro – Atlantic integration of the Republic of Macedonia. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, underlining the importance of the economic cooperation between the two states, informed the President Xhaferi on the support of the Japanese Government in the area of medicine, as well as announced assistance in many projects in the area of crisis management, such as floods and forest fires.
Also, the Minister expressed pleasure from the promotion of the education and the interest by the students to learn the Japanese language.
The interlocutors expressed their preparedness to work on promotion and strengthening the cooperation between the two states.
