PARTICIPATION OF AN ASSEMBLY DELEGATION AT THE INTER PARLIAMENTARY CONFERENCE FOR THE EU LEGISLATION PROCESS
Delegation of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia consisting of: Mr. Betiane Kitev, Mrs. Shpresa Hadri, Mr. Ilija Dimovski and Mr. Afrim Gashi, on June 19th and 20th 2017 participates at the Inter parliamentary conference with topic: "EU legislation process - from legislation initiative to implementation and monitoring" organised by the European Parliament, which is held in Brussels, Kingdom of Belgium.
At the Conference, the deputies from the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia presented the political and legal practices in our country, from the parliamentarian standpoint, regarding the legislative process and in the direction of advancing the euro integration process.
In the framework of the Conference, dedicated to the EU legislative process, in terms of the role of the parliamentary bodies as a tool for strengthening the oversight role of the legislative power over the executive power, participated more MEP`s, as well as deputies from the parliaments of the Western Balkan countries, Turkey but also deputies from all around the world, which gave the event a multilateral dimension.
During the debate, the discussants exchanged their experiences with the best legislative practices of the European Parliament, in order to find their application in their national parliaments.
At the end of the Conference, a conclusion is expected to be adopted for grater cooperation of the national parliaments and the European Parliament, in the interest of more efficient legislation applicable for the citizens and the social trends.
