MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT XHAFERI AND THE PRESIDENT OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF BULGARIA, MR. DIMITAR GLAVCHEV
The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi had a meeting with the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Dimitar Glavchev, who is briefly visiting the Republic of Macedonia.
The President Xhaferi underlined that a moment for opening a new page in the relations between the two states has come and expressed appreciation for the constant support of the republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Macedonia in Macedonia’s aspirations for Membership in NATO and the European Union.
He also welcomed the extraordinary cooperation between the Presidents and the Members of the two Parliaments in all mandates of the Assembly and expressed belief that it will be intensified in the future in light with the Agreement of Friendship, Good neighbourly Relations and Cooperation ratified by the Prime Ministers of the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Bulgaria.
The President Glavchev expressing pleasure from the visit of the Republic of Macedonia, evaluating that the ratification of the agreement initialized new history in the relations of the two states, expressed conviction that the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria, will again support the ratification of the Agreement, similarly to the support provided for the democratic processes in the Republic of Macedonia and the ratification of the Agreement.
He underlined that the Agreement opens new horizons for cooperation in all areas, including the two Parliaments, on the level of Committees, Cooperation Groups in topics of mutual interest, especially in the interest of the Republic of Macedonia and accomplishment of the criteria for the Euro – Atlantic integration thereof.
President Glavchev invited President Xhaferi to attend the Ratification of the Agreement in the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria.
