Meeting of the President Xhaferi and Mr. Abdulah Al Novasier, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Macedonia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi had a meeting with Delegation comprised of Representatives of the Business Community of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, headed by Mr. Abdulah Al Novasier, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Macedonia to the Kingdom of Sausi Arabia.
The business delegation comprised of 12 successful businessmen, holds business meetings annually around the world aiming to discover new potential opportunities for broadening their activities.
This year, upon proposal of the Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Abdulakar Memedi, the business delegation decided to hold the annual meeting in Skopje, seizing the opportunity to meet the leadership of the Republic of Macedonia.
Considering that the 12 businessmen are representatives of the entities working beyond the borders of Saudi Arabia, with 10 billion dollars annual revenue, their visit is an excellent opportunity to be acquainted with the investment climate in the Republic of Macedonia.
The delegation was interested in the food processing industry, whether Macedonia can establish standards for solid, continuous and sustainable quality of agriculture products that are to be exported.
The President Xhaferi expressed pleasure for the visit of the Delegation as well as appreciation to the Honorary Consul, Mr. Abdulah Al Novasier for the contribution and continuous support of the Republic of Macedonia by Saudi Arabia.
The president expressed conviction that there is wide room for intensification of the cooperation in the area of economy, investment and trade and that this visit can open the path for communication between parliaments.
The President Xhaferi underlined that even though Macedonia is a small state, it can offer good conditions and investment environment. In this context the President Xhaferi underlined that he shall make efforts within his competences to accelerate the ratification of the Agreement for Mutual Protection of Investments and Free Trade.
The Delegation was informed on the structure, work and activities of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia.
