MPs from various political groups participated in the IPA-TAP (Technical Assistance to Parliament seminar about the challenges for the National Parliament in the EU accession process.

Today the Committee on Relations among the Communities held its third Meeting on the topic: “The current situation in light of the latest developments and their effect on the inter-ethnic and inter-religious relations in the Republic of Macedonia”.

The Chairman of the Committee on European Issues, Mr. Hajrula Misini, is attending the Conference of the committees of the national Parliaments of the European Union Member States dealing with the European Union affairs (COSAC), whish is being held in Copenhagen in the framework of the Danish Presidency of the European Union

The Vice President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Ms. Svetlana Jakimovska, the Parliamentary Group for Cooperation with the Parliament of the Republic of Slovakia and the Committee on Labour and Social Policy of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, had a meeting with the Deputy- Prime Minister and Minister of Labour and Social Affairs and Family of the Republic of Slovakia, Mr. Jozef Mihail. 

The Committee on Defence and Security of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, headed by the Chairperson of the Committee Mr. Vladimir Gjorčev, today had a meeting with Mr. Arben Imami, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Albania. The members of the Committee: Mr. Oliver Spasovski, Mr. Milorad Dodevski, Mr. Talat Xhaferi, Mr. Vele Gejeorgievski, and Mr. Orhan Ibraimi, were also present at the meeting.

The main topic on the agenda of the 10th Meeting of the Committee on European Issues of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia were the priorities and the programme of the Danish Presidency of the Council of the European Union for the period January-June 2012, which were presented by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to the Republic of Macedonia - H.E. Mr. Torben Brylle.

At the meeting with the Parliamentary Group for Friendship from the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski underlined the continuity of the highly developed bilateral relations, both, in the area of politics and in the area of economy.
