PROMOTION OF A JOINT RESEARCH – BILATERAL COOPERATION WITH THE SWISS PARLIAMENT
The Parliamentary Institute and the Services of the Swiss Federal Parliament promoted a joint research on Public Debt and its Structure on 13 March 2018.
The event was attended by MPs of the opposition and ruling parties at the Assembly as well as representatives of the civic sector.
The purpose of the analysis was to emphasise the importance of the public debt management process, review current debt management policies in the Republic of Macedonia and the Swiss Confederation and to determine the role of the parliaments through its oversight and control mechanisms in the public debt management system.
Furthermore, the MPs had the opportunity to receive more information on the subject which will prove useful in the fulfilment of their parliamentary role.
