Plenary Hall

PURPOSE: Since 1945 this Hall has been used for the plenary sessions of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia.

INTERIOR: The hall was built in 1938. The first reconstruction was performed in 1967, and the present interior is from 1998-1999. With the reconstruction in 1999 new voting system, as well as audio and video system and fixed cameras for TV broadcast, was installed. Below the gallery there are two booths, technically equipped for radio broadcast and simultaneous translation. The system is operated using specially equipped production facility. The seats are made of leather - blue ones are for the MPs and purple for the members of the Government. The MPs from the ruling parties are seated in the central row and behind the members of the Government, and the MPs from the opposition in the left end row. The walls are decorated with four thematic mosaics made in Byzantine technique by Gazanfer Bajram
