PRESIDENT XHAFERI OFFICALLY RECEIVES THE PROGRESS REPORT OF THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION

Today, the Ambassador of the European Union officially handed over the Progress Report on the country from the European Commission to the President of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia. The meeting took place today due to the official absence of President Xhaferi who participated in the Conference of Speakers of Parliaments of Member States of the Council of Europe, in Athens.

HISTORICAL MEETING OF PRESIDENT XHAFERI WITH KONSTANTINOS TASOULAS

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia, Talat Xhaferi, met with the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Greece, Konstantinos Tasoulas, within the margins of the Conference of Presidents of Parliaments of the Member Countries of the Council of Europe, which is held on 21 – 22 October in Athens.

THE PRESIDENT XHAFERI AND THE DELEGATION OF THE ASSEMBLY AT WILTON PARK CONFERENCE

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi and about 30 MPs from all political parties represented in the Assembly, the Staff, the Parliamentary Institute and Representatives of the civil society, will participate in a Conference held in Wilton Park, Great Britain, from 14 to 16 February 2018.

The Conference Building an Effective and Independent Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia  is organized by the British Embassy and the Westminster Foundation for Democracy.

PRESIDENT OF THE ASSEMBLY, MR. TALAT XHAFERI IN AN OFFICIAL VISIT TO BRUSSELS 

At the invitation of the high representatives of the European Union and the European Parliament, the President of the Assembly Mr. Talat Xhaferi made today his first official visit to the European Union. According to the agenda the president Talat Xhaferi will meet the Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn and the EU High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Ms. Federica Mogherini.

PRESIDENT XHAFERI SENT A LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE STATE, MR. GJORGE IVANOV

Today the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi has written to inform the President of the country, Mr. Gjorge Ivanov that a parliamentary majority has been created and that he has been elected as the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia.
