MEETING OF THE CHAIRPERSON OF THE COMMITTEE ON RELATIONS AMONG THE COMMUNITIES, MS. ERMIRA MEHMETI, WITH THE UNDP REPRESENTATIVE MR. GREGORY ATTILA CONNOR
On 21 November 2001, the Chairperson of the Committee on Relations among the Communities, Ms. Ermira Mehmeti, met with Mr. Gregory Attila Connor - Peace and Development Specialist in the Office of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Macedonia. They discussed the activities of the Committee planned for 2012 and the topics that are to be considered at the forthcoming meetings of the Committee on Relations among the Communities.
Mr. Connor expressed the readiness of UNDP to support the work of the Committee with the aim of strengthening its capacity. He also offered the assistance of UNDP in the training of the members of the Committee Staff.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Mr. Connor expressed appreciation for the reception and for the open and sincere discussion, adding that these meetings are useful and should continue in future.
The Chairperson of the Committee on Relations among the Communities, Ms. Ermira Mehmeti, welcomed the support of UNDP and expressed gratitude for the cooperation. She also expressed hope that the meetings and joint activities between UNDP and the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia will be intensified in future.
