FAREWELL VISIT OF THE AMBASSADOR OF THE PORTUGUESE REPUBLIC, H.E. MR. LUIS DE ALMEIDA SAMPAIO
The Vice President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Jani Makraduli, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Portuguese Republic to the Republic of Macedonia, resident in Belgrade, H.E. Mr. Luis de Almeida Sampaio.
Main topic of discussion was the current political and economic situation in the Republic of Macedonia, as well as the bilateral cooperation between Macedonia and Portugal. Both sides agreed that the relations between the two countries are excellent, but that there is room for further development. In this context, they especially emphasized the cooperation between the two Parliaments, especially because of the fact that the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia has established a Group for Cooperation with the Parliament of the Portuguese Republic.
They also discussed other issues of common interest for both countries and parliaments, expressing their commitment for further strengthening of the relations between the two countries and more intensive cooperation on multilateral level.
