DELEGATION FROM THE ASSEMBLY AT THE PARLIAMENTARY MEETING OF THE ENERGY COMMUNITY
Delegation from the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia composed of Ms. Vladanka Avirovic, Mr. Dragan Cuklev, Mr. Rexhail Ismaili and Mr. Nikolce Acevski took part in the first meeting of Energy Community Contracting Party parliamentarians - Group of Friends of Energy Community, held yesterday in the Energy Community Secretariat in Vienna, Austria. The meeting was organised in the form of a one day workshop in cooperation with the Regional Cooperation Council.
Representatives of the national parliaments of Albania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia and Ukraine attended the meeting. The aim of the workshop 
was to brief the parliamentarians on the functioning of the organisation, on the most pressing policy issues and on the ways the parliamentarians themselves can influence the process.
The presentations addressed the role of the regulator, the Energy Strategy and the PECI - projects, social issues, energy efficiency, renewable energy, electricity, gas and oil stocks. After the presentations the parliamentarians discussed the situation in their countries and gave their own assessments of the developments.
This was the first meeting of the Group of Friends of Energy Community, an initiative that should continue as a tradition every year.
