Meeting of the President veljanoski with the Delegation of Mps from the group for bilateral cooperation with the Republic of Macedonia from the House of Representatives from Indonesia

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski welcomed the so far development of the friendly relations between the two states, accelerated dynamics of the friendly relations between the two states, and expressed his conviction that in the future these relations will be further developed and will be more dynamic in many areas. The President Veljanoski also underlined that the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Macedonia impose efforts to establish and develop the political dialogue and increase the number of contacts and meetings.

The meeting also referred to the parliamentary cooperation, and the President Veljanoski underlined that this kind of cooperation should be intensified on every level, from meetings of Groups for Cooperation, Parliamentary Committees, as well as on the level of Speakers of Parliaments, which will certainly contribute in the overall relations.

The President Veljanoski underlined that the parliamentary cooperation, which is comprehended as cooperation between the people, will highly contribute in the further development of the overall relations between the states.

The President Veljanoski informed the delegation from the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia that the Republic of Macedonia’s strategic determination and priority is the membership in NATO and EU.

The Head of the Delegation, Ms. Vera Fabyanti, expressing appreciation for the meeting, introduced the delegation and informed the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski on the current political and economic conditions in Indonesia.

Also, she underlined that the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Indonesia established bilateral relations in 1993 and that the cooperation so far has not been intensive, even though the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Indonesia are friendly countries.

Ms. Fabyanti confirmed that the parliamentary cooperation is important for the Indonesian Parliament as well and conveyed the invitation for the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia to visit Indonesia in the forthcoming period.
