Farewell meeting of the President Veljanoski and the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Macedonia, H.E. Aivo Orav
The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski welcomed to a farewell meeting the European Ambassador, Mr. Aivo Orav. The interlocutors expressed pleasure from the excellent cooperation during the mandate of the Ambassador to the Republic of Macedonia. The President Veljanoski expressed appreciation for the constant support of the Delegation to the Republic of Macedonia. The interlocutors expressed hope that the cooperation will continue on highest level, through mutual understanding and friendship.
The meeting referred to the current affairs in the Republic of Macedonia and the active role of the international community in finding solutions for surpassing the misunderstandings in the area of politics. The President Veljanoski underlined his hope that the political crisis in the Republic of Macedonia will soon and finally be resolved and stated that he will do everything in his competence to realise the activities arising from the latest agreement between the political parties.
The Ambassador Orav underlined his hope for prompt implementation of the agreement with the aim the Republic of Macedonia to dedicate itself to Euro Atlantic integration and opening accession negotiations with the European Union as soon as possible. He underlined that in regard with all challenges Europe is faced with, such as the migration crisis and terrorist attacks, it is important for the European Union to have the Republic of Macedonia as a stabile partner.
At the end of the meeting, the President Veljanoski wished the Ambassador Orav success during his next mandate and underlined the openness of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia for cooperation and continuous communication with the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Macedonia.
