NIKOLA POPOVSKI
Born 24 may 1962, Skopje, Republic of Macedonia.
Completed primary and secondary school in Skopje. Graduated from the Faculty of Economy, Skopje. Post-graduated from the Faculty of Economy, on a theme "Economic Bases of the Information Society".
Before 1986 worked in the Ministry of Development and in the Government of the Republic of Macedonia.
1986-1990 councilor in the Assembly of the City of Skopje.
Since 1992 member of Parliament of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia.
Chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee, Committee on Environment, Youth and Sport, and the Committee on Finance and Budget in the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia.
Since 1993 member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, and once a Head of the Macedonian Parliamentary Delegation to the PA of the CE in Strasbourg.
1998-2002 coordinator of the Parliamentary Group of SDSM.
Author of scholarly works in domestic and international magazines. Published 2 books in the field of economy and policy.
Speaks English.
He was elected as member of Government on 7 November 2003.
