Meeting of the President Xhaferi and the Minister on Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Mr. Pavlo Klimkin  

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi expressed pleasure from the institutional cooperation between the Republic of Macedonia and Ukraine, especially the bilateral parliamentary cooperation, underlining that the Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine visited the Republic of Macedonia in November 2017.

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi met the Delegation of the Republic of Slovenia, headed by the Prime Minister Miro Cerar, The MPs, Members of the Parliamentary Group for Cooperation with the Parliament of the Republic of Slovenia, Ms. Frosina Tashevska Remenski, Ms. Liljana Popovska and Mr. Nexhbedin Karemani attended the Meeting.

Address of the President Xhaferi at the First Annual Conference of the Ministry of Finances on the Occasion of the 26th Anniversary since the adoption of the first Budget of independent Republic of Macedonia “Public Finances Management and Economic Growth – Complements or Opposites “

26 years ago, when the first budget of the Republic of Macedonia was adopted, we demonstrated before our public, above all before the economic entities, as well as the international public and financial organizations that we are capable to plan, adopt, fill and realize the Budget of the state.

The Delegation of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia to the IPU, headed by Mr. Talat Xhaferi, President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, within the framework of participation at the 138 Assembly of the Inter-parliamentary Union in Geneva, Swiss Confederation, had a working lunch with the Swiss delegation to the IPU, headed by Mr.Andrea Caroni, head of the Delegation.

Today the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi, on the margins of the 138th IPU Assembly in Geneva, Swiss Confederation, met Mr. Irakli Kobakhidze, Chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia, upon his request.

In the framework of the 138th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), held in Geneva, Swiss Confederation, from 24 - 28 March 2018, the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi, held separate meetings with the President of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Mr. Ismail Kahraman and the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mrs. Cveta Karajanceva.

ADDRESS OF THE PRESIDENT XHAFERI AT THE 138 IPU ASSEMBLY, AT THE GENERAL DEBATE ON THE THEME "STRENGTHENING THE GLOBAL REGIME FOR MIGRANTS AND REFUGEES"

Migration as a phenomenon is not a new occurrence; its existence dates back to the very beginning of the human civilization. Certainly the globalization process influences these migration flows making them more intensive. Thus, according to the statistics, today, around 258 million people or 3, 4% percent of the world population lives out of their states of birth.

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Talat Xhaferi had a meeting with the Delegation of the EPP Groups from the European Parliament, headed by the MEP Andrey Kovatchev, and comprised of the MEPs Alojz Petrle and Tunne Kelam. Mr. Samuel Žbogar, EU Ambassador to the Republic of Macedonia attended the Meeting.
