PRESIDENT OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA, Mr. TRAJKO VELJANOSKI MET THE GERMAN BUNDESTAG MEMBERS - Mr. WALTER KOLBOW,  CHAIRMAN OF THE SOCIAL DEMOCRATIC PARLIAMENTARY GROUP AND Mr. ANDREAS LAMMEL, MP FROM THE CHRISTIAN DEMOCRATIC UNION

The talks focused on the cooperation between the two Parliaments. President Veljanoski stated that the various forms of cooperation have contributed to the promotion of the overall relations between the two countries and to strengthening the Assembly's democratic capacity.

Speaking on the integration in the Euro-Atlantic structures, President Veljanoski emphasized that Macedonia has fulfilled the criteria for visa-free travel and also expects date for starting EU accession negotiations by the end of the year.

The progress made by Macedonia is evident, stressed German MPs, and it has been reflected in the latest European Commission Report. They expressed full support for visa liberalization for our citizens.
