At the World E-Parliament Conference 2009 the Vice-President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia Mr. Jani Makraduli talked about the Macedonian experiences in the field of E-Parliament

At the opening of the World E-Parliament Conference 2009 in Washington, the Vice-President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Jani Makraduli addressed the participants. He took part in the introductory session “Application of ICT in the Development of the Democratic Institution”. Mr. Makraduli presented the E-Parliament solution of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, which was selected as one of the most successful examples in the world by the Global Centre for ICT in Parliament and the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).

The moderator of the session, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Congo, Mr. Justin Koumba, pointed out that the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia has made big progress with the implementation of this solution, and joined Vice-President Makraduli in his encouragement for the developing countries to follow this example, since ICT can help strengthen the democratic capacity of their parliaments.  

After the presentation, several representatives of parliaments from around the world expressed their interest for cooperation.
