Meeting of the Chairman of the Committee on Security and Defence with the Director of the George C. Marshal European Centre for Security Studies
The Chairman of the Committee on Security and Defence, Mr. Vlatko Gjorcev, had a meeting with Dr. John Rose, Director of the George C. Marshal European Centre for Security Studies, located in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.
The Members of the Committee: Ms. Olivera Trajanovska, Mr. Talat Xhaferi, Mr. Goran Misovski, Mr. Pavle Trajanov, Mr. Cvetan Tripunovski, Mr. Goran Mincev and Mr. Besim Dogani participated at the meeting,
The Macedonian MPs stated that the seminars organized by the George C. Marshal European Centre for Security Studies are extremely important, and that they are an excellent opportunity for exchange of experiences and knowledge concerning reforms in the field of deference and security. Dr. Rose called on the Republic of Macedonia to continue sending new forces with the aim of understand the complexity of the problems.
Dr. Rose also expressed appreciation for the invitation to visit Macedonia, and said that he hoped that the cooperation with Macedonia will continue, with 200-300 persons visiting the George C. Marshal European Centre in order to exchange ideas and opinions on combating terrorism and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
