Meeting between the Chairman of the Parliamentary Group from the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia for Cooperation with the Parliament of Australia, Mr. Ilija Dimovski and the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Australia, Mr. Harry Jenkins
The Chairman of the Parliamentary Group from the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia for Cooperation with the Parliament of Australia ,Mr. Ilija Dimovski T had a meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Australia, Mr. Harry Jenkins . This is the first meeting of the Parliamentary Group from the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia for Cooperation with the Parliament of Australia since it was established.
The Vice-President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Jani Makraduli, the MPs Oliver Shambevski and Marija Andonovska attended this meeting.
“The aim of this meeting is to broaden the relations and cooperation between the two states on parliamentary level”- stated Mr. Ilija Dimovski.
The Vice-President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Jani Makraduli stated that the parliamentary dimension is important in the cooperation between the two states and expressed his hope that this meeting will contribute in the development of the relations between the two parliaments.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives of Australia, Mr. Harry Jenkins expressed his gratitude for the invitation, and underlined that the countries benefit from the parliamentary groups which offer opportunity of introduction and exchange of experiences.
In the same time he stated that the Macedonian community is well organised in Australia and that it contributes in the development of the culture, sport and social life.
