MACEDONIA SHOULD USE THE EXPERIENCE  OF ISRAEL

The Chair of the Parliamentary Group from the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia for Cooperation with the Parliament of the State of Israel, Mr. Pavle Trajanov had a meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador from the State of Israel to the Republic of Macedonia. Mr. David Cohen. 

The members of the Group for Cooperation, Mr. Aleksandar Spasenovski, Ms. Slavica Grkovska and Ms. Liljana Popovska attended the Meeting. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr. Victor Mizrahi Honorary Consul of the Israel to the Republic of Macedonia. 
Mr. Trajanov, Chair of the Group presented the constitution and the activities of the Group for Cooperation and expressed appreciation for the support provided by the State of Israel, considering its influence in all international organizations. 

He also underlined that the State of Israel recognises the Republic of Macedonia under its constitutional name and uses the constitutional name in the communication which is of great importance for the Republic of Macedonia.

Mr Trajanov informed the Ambassador on the Progress Report for 2010 and the reaffirmed recommendation for opening the accession negotiations. 

The Ambassador Cohen underlined the good relations between the two countries and expressed his preparedness for cooperation with all the Members of the Group for Cooperation and invited them to visit Israel.

The participants underlined that this Group is opened for cooperation and that its goal is to create better conditions for the future. There is noticeable progress in certain areas, but the cooperation should be accelerated and broadened, since the State of Israel is a country from which the Republic of Macedonia can learn, especially in the area of education, security and agriculture.
