MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA, MR. TRAJKO VELJANOSKI WITH THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF ROMANIA, MR. TRAIAN BĂSESCU
 
The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski had a meeting with the President to teh Republic of Romania, Mr. Traian Băsescu, who officially visiting the Republic of Macedonia 

The President Veljanoski expressed appreciation for the support which the Republic of Romania, as our friendly country, is providing for our Euro Atlantic Integration, and underlined the determination for our NATO Integration through continuation of our active participation in the peace missions of NATO and expressed the pleasure from the achieved level of parliamentary cooperation between the two states.  

The President Veljanoski underlined that the Integration of every country from this Region is important for the countries but also for Europe, which inevitably will provide stability and security in the Region. 

Regarding the name issue with the Republic of Greece which prevents our Euro Atlantic Integration; the President Veljanoski underlined the importance of building mutual trust between the two states, in direction of positive outcome of the negotiations which are being held. 

The President Traian Băsescu, expressed gratitude for  the welcome and the meeting in the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, and underlined the increased importance of the parliamentary diplomacy, and reaffirmed the  unconditioned support from the republic of Romania for our accession in EU and NATO, followed by the conclusion that on the next Council of EU in June, we will receive a date on opening negotiations, as well as that  the Republic of Macedonia will become full fledged Member of NATO on the next Summit of NATO. Mr. Băsescu stated that the Republic of Romania will always be friend of the Republic of Macedonia.
