MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA, MR. TRAJKO VELJANOSKI, WITH H.E. MR. GÜROL SÖKMENSÜER, AMBASSADOR EXTRAORDINARY AND PLENIPOTENTIARY OF THE REPUBLIC OF TURKEY TO THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA
The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski, received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Macedonia, H.E. Mr. Gürol Sökmensüer.
At the beginning of the meeting President Veljanoski emphasized the friendly relations between the two countries, as wells as the successful cooperation with the former Turkish Ambassador, and expressed hope that this cooperation will continue with the newly appointed Ambassador.
The President of the Assembly expressed his satisfaction from the cooperation of the Macedonian Assembly with the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey, as well as his gratitude for the support of the Republic of Turkey for the Euro-Atlantic aspirations of the Republic of Macedonia. He also expressed readiness for a Delegation from the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia to pay a return visit to the Republic of Turkey.
The newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Macedonia, H.E. Mr. Gürol Sökmensüer, pointed out that it is a pleasure for every Turkish diplomat to serve in the Republic of Macedonia. He also referred to the friendly relations between the two countries and expressed hope that the excellent cooperation will continue in future, and expressed readiness to contribute actively to the intensification of the cooperation between the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Macedonia on all levels.
