THE PRESIDENT OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA, MR. TRAJKO VELJANOSKI AND THE MPS PARTICIPATED IN THE “DAY OF SERVICE”
The Embassy of the United States of America, in cooperation with the Red Cross of the City of Skopje, hosted the blood and food donation event. The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski and the Coordinators of the MP groups in the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia and many MPs participated in the “Day of Service, which was held in the Embassy of the United States of America. H.E. Philip Riker, the Ambassador of USA and the Secretary General of the Red Cross of City of Skopje addressed before the participants.
In the address H.E. Philip Riker underlined that the aim of this event is to bring closer all people from the communities, regardless of their religion and to think to focus on their common cause. The Ambassador Riker expressed hope that this activity will help the Red Cross to replenish its blood supplies and will provide needy families with food and other necessities during the winter months Also this activity will establish wider network of blood donors in the Republic of Macedonia to ensure that the blood supply will be sufficient to meet future demands .
The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski on his behalf and on behalf of the Coordinators of the MP groups welcomed this event of the Red Cross of the City of Skopje and the Embassy of USA.
He also underlined that the participation of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia in this activity affirms and shows the solidarity among the MPs, regardless of the differences. He also expressed hope that this act will inspire other solidarity activities which will also help the most vulnerable categories in the Republic of Macedonia.
