The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski welcomed the prime minister of Monte Negro, Mr. Milo Djukanovik

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski reminding of the traditional friendly relations between the two stets, underlined that the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic Monte Negro share common values and interests- the Euro-integrations. This contributes to the promotion of the bilateral relations and contributes in the stability of the region and its European Integration- stated the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski

I sincerely wish, to Monte Negro and to its citizens the processes of integration, especially the integration in NATO, to be finalized without the absurd and imposed issues as those which blocked our Membership in NATO, beside the fact that we have accomplished the conditions.

The President Veljanoski referred to the role of the parliaments in the integration processes of integration, because the parliaments are responsible for the adoption of the laws, the harmonisation with the Acquis, and on the other hand they execute the control role over the executive government. As an Assembly we are prepared to share our experiences with the parliament of Monte Negro, underlined Veljanoski.

The President of Monte Negro, Mr. Milo Djukanovik, expressing appreciation for the meeting, also underlined the highly developed relations between these two friendly countries.

„ I, as a Prime Minister and the Government of Montenegro, on the international meetings, always express regret for the situation of your country. The Republic of Macedonia is unjustifiably not member of NATO. The Republic of Monte Negro and all states from the region belong to Europe. That is why, its political and economic competitiveness cannot be efficient without integration of the whole region”- underlined the Prime Minister Djukanovik.

Both sides underlined that the economic cooperation is under the level of the political relations and that there is a need for intensification, for which there is interest by the governments and by the business communities.
