FAREWELL MEETING OF THE CHAIR OF THE FOREIGN POLICY COMMITTEE OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA, MS. TEUTA ARIFI AND H.E. ERWAN FOUÉRÉ


The Chair of the Foreign Policy Committee of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Ms. Teuta Arifi had a farewell meeting with the Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Macedonia, H.E. Erwan Fouéré.
The Chair of the Committee, Ms. Teuta Arifi expressed appreciation for the Ambassador Fouere’s engagement and personal contribution in the promotion of the European Integration process of the Republic of Macedonia. During the mandate of Mr. Fouere the Republic of Macedonia received a recommendation on opening accession negotiations from the European Commission and abolishment of the visa regime for the Macedonian citizens to the Shengen zone.
The Ambassador Fouere expressed appreciation for the achieved cooperation with the state institutions and certainly the Macedonian parliament, especially the Assembly’s bodies authorised for the European integration process of the state, as well as the MPs. He expressed his pleasure from the stay in the Republic of Macedonia and expressed hope for opening accession negotiation in near future.
The interlocutors exchanged opinions on the present situation of the state.
