MEETING OF THE CHAIRMAN OF THE INTER-COMMUNITY RELATIONS COMMITTEE, MR. XHEVAT ADEMI AND THE REPRESENTATIVES FROM CSSP PROJECT FOR MACEDONIA  

The Chairman of the Inter-Community Relations Committee, Mr. Xhevat Ademi had a meeting with the German Non-profit Organization Christian Schwarz-Schilling, which immediately works on the CSSP Project for Macedonia. The meeting was realized upon a request from CSSP and the topic of the meeting was the activities of the Inter-Community Relations Committee for 2011. 

Mr. Dieter Volkevitz, Member of the CSSP Board and Ms. Christina Stener, Project Manager for the Republic of Macedonia attended the Meeting. 

The Chairman Ademi welcomed the participants and informed them on the work of the Inter-Community Relations Committee in the past three months, underlining that that these meetings strengthen the capacities and authority of the Committee which is a direct product of the Framework Agreement.

He also explained that in the past three months, the Committee held and finalized three meetings, namely, the 8th Meeting which ended with adoption of conclusions for Integrated Education in the Education System of the Republic of Macedonia and the 12th Meeting on which, the Conclusions for the Decade of the Roma in the Republic of Macedonia were adopted, these Conclusions are part of the National State Strategy on these topics. 

The CSSP Project for Macedonia Representatives informed the Chairman Ademi that, in cooperation with UNESCO, UNICEF and UNDP will organize a seminar on the occasion of the 10 years anniversary from the ratification of the Ohrid Framework Agreement; “Strengthening the Dialogue Among the Ethnic Communities in Macedonia” from 14 February to 11 March 2011.

The CSSP Representatives suggested that one of the topics for the Committee to be the debate held in Bujanovac and assisted by the Honorary Chair, Mr. Christian Schwarz-Schilling on- the Roma in Bujanovac. The suggestion was accepted by the Chairman.  

In the end of the meeting the participants expressed their appreciation for the welcoming, honesty and openness of the participants and concluded that the meetings and cooperation on higher level should continue. 

The Chairman of the Inter-Community Relations Committee, Mr. Ademi, welcomed the support and expressed appreciation for the cooperation, and also underlined that these meetings and participation in the activities should continue in the future.
