MEETING OF THE WOMEN PARLIAMENTAIANS' CLUB ON THE OCCASION OF THE WORLD KIDNEY DAY
The Women Parliamentarians' Club of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia had a meeting on the occasion of the World Kidney Day, organized by the Macedonian Association on Nephrology, Transplantation and Artificial Organs.
Ms. Katerina Dimeska, Coordinator of the WPC; Ms. Zumrete Jakupi, Member of WPC; Ms. Svetlana Jakimovska- Vice President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia and other MPs attended this meeting.
Prof. Olivera Stojcheva- Taneva, Chair of the Kidney Register, Dr. Ljubinko Trpenovski, Secretary of the Kidney Ill Citizens Association- Nefron, Ms. Biljana Sardzovska, Lab technician, Mr. Nerguis Bektesh, Medical Technician participated in the debate.
The discussion was on the present situation and the problems in this area in the Republic of Macedonia and in the world. Most of the MPs agreed to take part of the activities on the occasion of the World Kidney Day- to be tested for kidney disease.
The participants expressed hope that the WPC will work on scheduling and organizing similar activities.
