debate on the financial markets was held in the framework of the 125th IPU ASSEMBLY

The Delegation from the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia comprised of: Mr. Jani Makraduli, Head of Delegation, Ms. Silvana Boneva, Mr. Talat Xhaferi, Mr. Imer Iliu, Mr. Goran Misovski and Mr. Rejhan Durmishi, Members of the Delegation, participated in the 125th Assembly of IPU, held from 16 to 19 October in Bern, Switzerland.

The Permanent Committees of IPU held 3 panel discussions included in the agenda of the 126th IPU Assembly. 

The First Standing Committee on Peace and International Safety held a discussion on Promoting and practising good governance as a means of advancing peace and security: Drawing lessons from recent events in the Middle East and North Africa. 

The Second Standing Committee on Sustainable Development, Finances and Trade held a discussion on: Redistribution of power, not just wealth: Ownership of the international agendas.  

The Third Standing Committee on Democracy and Human Rights debated on: Access to health as a basic right: The role of parliaments in addressing key challenges to securing the health of women and children
 
the IPU Committee on UN Affairs held a session on nuclear disarmament, activities of the Alliance of Civilizations, Preparations for the UN Conference on Climate Changes, Cooperation among the IPU, Parliaments and UN.

The Steering Council of IPU adopted: the Strategy of IPU 2012-2017, the budget of the Organization for 2012, decreased by 7% from 2011, i.e. decreased by 9% for the membership fees for the Member States, considering the financial measures for saving

The special event- Debate on the Reforms in the financial markets was held in the framework of the 125th IPU Assembly.
