WESTERN AUSTRALIA STRONGLY SUPPORTS THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA 

The Chair of the Foreign Policy Committee of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia , Mr. Antonio Miloshoski had a meeting with Mr. John Hyde, MP from Western Australia

Mr. Milorad Dodevski, MP from Macedonian Diaspora in the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia and Mr. Zoran Kostovski, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Macedonia to Australia attended this meeting.

The participants exchanged views and advice on the issues regarding the name, the visas, the Macedonian Community in Australia and the Macedonian- Australian relations. 

The Chair of the Foreign Policy Committee, Mr. Antonio Miloshoski expressed appreciation for the visit of Mr. Hyde to the Republic of Macedonia and underlined that the frequent parliamentary communication between Australia and Macedonia benefits the political cooperation.

The Republic of Macedonia is interested to promote the political communication with Australia. We have a major Macedonian Community which contributes in the political, economic and cultural life of Australia, especially Perth and Western Australia. We consider that the relations in the trade, political cooperation and certainly, the cooperation on multilateral level should be our priority” underlined the Chair of the Foreign Policy Committee.

The Chair Milishoski stated that the parliamentary cooperation should continue and the MP from Australia elected in the Macedonian Assembly, Mr. Milorad Dodevski will contribute in the strengthening of this cooperation.

Mr. Hyde underlined that Western Australia strongly supports the Republic of Macedonia: “we are here to strengthen the connections between Western Australia and Macedonia” At the moment Western Australia is one of the Australia’s strongest economic region.
“We are making efforts to acknowledge the Republic of Macedonia under its constitutional name” stated Mr. Hyde.

At the end of the meeting the Mr. Miloshoski expressed appreciation for the efforts of Mr. Hyde and his political party to represent and promote the Macedonian national interests within Western Australia.
