meeting of the PRESIDENT VELJANOSKI AND MS. JANE ARMITAGE
The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. TrajkoVeljanoski had a meeting with the Country Director and Regional Coordinator for Southeast Europe,Ms. Jane Armitage and theDirector of the World Bank for the Republic of Macedonia, Ms. Lilija Burunchuk.
Both sides expressed their appreciation for the year’slong excellent cooperation between the Republic of Macedonia and the World Bank.The President Veljanoski underlined the role of the World Bank in the promotionof the economic conditions in the Republic of Macedonia, emphasising theprojects that the implemented on municipal level.
Ms. Armitagereferred to the macroeconomic situation in the Republic of Macedonia evaluatingthe state as stabile as and better than the countries in the Region,considering the financial crisis in the Euro zone.
Bothe sides agreed to continue the successful cooperationbetween the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia and the Office of the WorldBank, through exchange of opinions and information, presented before theauthorised committees.
