BILATERAL MEETINGS OF THE PRESIDENT VELJANOSKI AT THE 6TH CONFERENCE OF SPEAKERS OF PARLIAMENTS FROM WESTERN BALKAN COUNTRIES 

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski participates in the 6th Conference of the Speakers of Parliament of the Western Balkan Countries, upon an invitation of the President of the National Assembly of Hungary, Mr. László Kövér. 

In the framework of the Conference, the President Veljanoski addressed during the first session: EU Integrations: Results and Aspirations; the President Veljanoski also addressed during the session on Security Policies for Cooperation in Western Balkan: Contribution for European Stability and was a Co-Chair of this Session together with the President of the National Assembly of Hungary, Mr. László Kövér.

In the framework of the Conference, the President Veljanoski had bilateral meetings with the host of the Conference, with the President of the National Assembly of Hungary, Mr. László Kövér, the President of the National Assembly of Hungary, Mr. Ilir Meta; the Vice President of the Assembly of Montenegro, as well as the honorary guest of the Conference, Mr. Igor Radojičić, President of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska

At the meetings, the interlocutors exchanged opinions on present topics and events in the state, on the significance of such events for promotion of the regional cooperation and additional impetus for mutual assistance and support, as well as the parliamentary diplomacy and the intensification of the cooperation between the Parliaments in the Region on all levels, as well as on the EU perspective, Membership in NATO, preparedness for exchange of opinions, harmonization with the Acquis and achievement of the standards of the Alliance. 

During the two Sessions, many speakers underlined the importance for the Republic of Macedonia of the opening of accession negotiations with the European Union, as well as the deserved membership of the Republic of Macedonia in NATO. 
 
Delegations from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, and Serbia participated in the 6th Conference of the Speakers of Parliament of the Western Balkan Countries held in Budapest, Hungary.
