PRESIDENT VELJANOSKI AT THE CONFERENCE OF SPEAKERS OF EUROPEAN UNION PARLIAMENTS
At the invitation from Mr. Yiannakis L. Omirou, President of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus, the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia Mr. Trajko Veljanoski is participating at the Conference of Speakers of European Union Parliaments, that started today in Nicosia, Cyprus.
42 Presidents and Vice Presidents of Parliament, as well as the President and Vice President of the European Parliament, Mr. Martin Schultz and Mr. Miguel Angel Martínez respectively, will take part at the two-day Conference.
President Veljanoski will speak at the sessions dedicated to the topics: “Bringing citizens closer to the European Union” and “Social cohesion in times of austerity - what can national parliaments do”.
In the framework of the Conference, President Veljanoski will have bilateral meetings with his colleagues - presidents of parliaments of the EU member states.
