PRESIDENT VELJANOSKI IN AN OFFICIAL VISIT TO IRELAND

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia Mr. Trajko Veljanoski is in the first highest level official visit to Ireland, country that is currently holding the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The visit comes at an invitation from the Speaker of the Dáil Éireann (House of Deputies) Mr. Seán Barrett T.D.

President Veljanoski is heading the Delegation of the Assembly composed of the parliamentarians Aleksandar Nikoloski, Nexhati Jakupi and Panče Orcev.

During the visit, besides with his host Mr. Seán Barrett, President Veljanoski will meet the President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins, the Irish Minister for European Affairs Lucinda Creighton, the members of the Joint Committee on European Union Affairs, the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Macedonia, as well as with representatives of the Macedonian community in Ireland.

President Veljanoski will also attend a session of the Dáil Éireann (House of Deputies), and of the Seanad (Senate) of the Oireachtas Éireann (National Parliament of Ireland).
