MEETING BETWEEN MR. PAVLE TRAJANOV AND THE AMBASSADOR OF ISRAEL TO MACEDONIA MR. JOSEF AMRANI

The Chairman of the Parliamentary Group for Cooperation with the Parliament of the State of Israel, Mr. Pavle Trajanov, and the member of the Parliamentary Group, Ms. Silvana Boneva, today met with H.E. Mr. Josef Amrani, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the State of Israel to the Republic of Macedonia, resident in Zagreb.

Mr. Trajanov welcomed the Ambassador and expressed hope that he will have a successful visit to our country.

In the course of his second visit to the Macedonian Assembly, Ambassador Amrani thanked for the hospitality and informed the Macedonian parliamentarians about the developments in Israel after the recently held general election, as well as about the challenges facing the new Parliament and Government, especially regarding the forthcoming budget cuts and the negotiations with the Palestinian authorities.

Mr. Trajanov stressed the importance of the continuation of the cooperation between the Parliamentary Friendship Groups and the two parliaments, and intensification of the relations and cooperation in all fields, especially the economy, having in mind the excellent political relations that are not reflected in the economic cooperation. He also expressed the openness for suggestions in order to improve the business climate in the country.

Ms. Boneva emphasized the peaceful nature of the Macedonian people and the respect they have towards the Jewish Community in the country, which is small but acts as an important bridge of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
