CHINA SIGNIFICANTLY SUPPORTS THE DEVELOPMENT PROCESSES OF THE MACEDONIAN AGRICULTURE
The MP, Silvana Boneva had a meeting with the Delegation from the Peoples’ Political Consultative Conference of the Province of Sichuan, Peoples’ Republic of China, headed by the Vice Chair of the Conference, Mr. Gao Feng. The MPs: Romeo Trenov and Olga Najdenovska attended the meeting.
At the beginning, Ms. Boneva underlined that the cooperation between the two states is promoted every year, and as a result, we have the Confucius Institute, opened in 2013 in the framework of the “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” University, through the partnership with the University on Finances and Economy in Chengdu, Capital of Sichuan Province.
This degree of development of the political relations is a good basis for broadening of the economic cooperation. There is a strong interest from our side for higher reforms in the economic cooperation, transfer of technology and joint presentation on third markets. In the recent years, the trade exchange is continuously growing, and we wish the Chinese investments to be accelerated and increased, underlined Ms. Boneva.
The pleasure from the cooperation with the Embassy of the Peoples’ Republic of China to the Republic of Macedonia was underlined, which constantly motivates and significantly contributes in the promotion of the relations between the two states.
The fact that the development of the economic cooperation is high on the agenda of the newly appointed Ambassador, Mr. Wen Jenshun is recognized, and it is expected to result in more Chinese investments in the Republic of Macedonia, considering the Chinese economy which has impressive economic growth.
Both countries have opportunities for wider cooperation in the area of science, education and especially agriculture. The Parliaments, Governments and the institutions of both states should constantly invest efforts for creation of wide framework for bilateral agreements and other acts, creating environment for various cooperation.
The Republic of Macedonia and the Peoples’ Republic of China have established good cooperation in the area of agriculture, with a tendency to promote thereof, considering the mutual interest of the two states, Peoples’ Republic of China significantly supports the development processes in the agriculture.
Vice Chair of the Peoples’ Political Consultative Conference of the Province of Sichuan, Mr. Gao Feng, informed the hosts on the Province of Sichuan, which is important part of China with 90 million citizens, with developed sector of industry, economy and agriculture.
It was also underlined that the Republic of Macedonia has potential in the agriculture which should be used and that the agriculture products should be presented to third markets.
