MEETING BETWEEN PRESIDENT XHAFERI AND H.E. ABDRASHOV

Today, the President of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia, Talat Xhaferi met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of North Macedonia, H.E. Zhanibek Abdrashov. 

President Xhaferi warmly welcomed Ambassador Abdrashov and further emphasized the excellent cooperation with the Kazakh Embassy, and expressed confidence that it will continue in the future with even greater dynamics. He reaffirmed the benefits of the excellent and friendly relations between the two countries, paying particular attention to parliamentary diplomacy in promoting bilateral and multilateral relations, political dialogue and the scaling of the overall cooperation between the two countries. He further informed Ambassador Abdrashov about the establishment of the first-ever Parliamentary Group for Cooperation with the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia, which is an indicator of our interest in strengthening parliamentary cooperation.

President Xhaferi was particularly pleased to present to the Ambassador an invitation for the Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Nurlan Nigmatulin, hoping that it will be arranged at the most suitable time for both parties. 

 

Ambassador Abdrashov thanked for the warm reception in the House of Democracy and highlighted the friendly relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of North Macedonia. He briefly informed about how the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan dealt with the challenges of the pandemic in the past period and the completed vaccination process. He also informed about the signing of three key agreements in the legal sphere by the Kazakh Government, with relation to the plan for closer inter-parliamentary cooperation at the level of the Parliamentary Cooperation Groups, which is of mutual interest, and further expressed confidence that it will continue as soon as the health protocols related to the COVID-19 pandemic allow. His Excellency underlined that his mission will focus on strengthening the economic cooperation of the two states, increasing trade and initiating investment activities between the two states.

The interlocutors expressed confidence that the future period will be a period of fruitful bilateral cooperation on multiple levels, as well as multilateral cooperation.
