MEETING OF THE PARLIAMENTARY GROUP FOR COOPERATION WITH THE PARLIAMENT OF CANADA AND THE HONOURABLE ANDREW SCHEER
The Chair of the Parliamentary Group of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia for Cooperation with the Parliament of Canada, Mr. Aleksandar Nikoloski had a meeting with the Honourable Andrew Scheer, Speaker of the House of Commons of Canada.
The Members of the Parliamentary Group: Ms. Liljana Kuzmanovska, Mr. Pavle Sazdov, Ms. Svetlana Karapetrova and Mr. Xhevat Ademi attended the meeting.
Mr. Nikoloski underlined the pleasure from the opportunity, as Chair of the Parliamentary Group to welcome the Honourable Andrew Scheer to Macedonia and the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, as well as from the acknowledgement of our country under the constitutional name in 2007, including the continuous support for the European and Atlantic integration provided by Canada.
The Speaker Scheer expressed appreciation for visit, for the opportunity through the address before the attendees to share the experience in regard with surpassing the crisis, as a result of the previously implemented measures in the banking sector, the public debt and economic stimulation.
The attendees expressed appreciation for positive approach, the good organization of Macedonian Community and their active role in all areas of the Canadian society as well as the ratified Agreement between the Republic of Macedonia and Canada for social insurance providing them to exercising the rights for pension and disability insurance.
The interlocutors underlined the good friendly relations between the states on parliamentary level; the great potential expected to be intensified in the area of economy, as well as in the area of education, culture and sport.
