THE PRESIDENT VELJANOSKI WELCOMED THE NEWLY APPOINTED AMBASSADOR OF THE KINGDOM OD DENMARK TO THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA, MS. LICELOT PLASNER
The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski had a meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to the Republic of Macedonia situated in Vienna, Ms. Licelot Plasner.
The interlocutors expressed pleasure from the meeting and the President Veljanoski wished the Ambassador success in the work during her mandate, expressing hope that in this mandate the Ambassador will assist the strengthening of the cooperation between the Republic of Macedonia and the Kingdom of Denmark on all levels, especially the area of parliamentary cooperation.
The President Veljanoski underlined the personal preparedness and the preparedness of the Cabinet and the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia to intensify the cooperation between the Parliaments of the two states, on the level of visits of Speakers of Parliaments, as well as MPs and Parliamentary Groups for Cooperation, emphasizing that all proposals and ideas from the Embassy are welcomes.
The Ambassador Plasner expressed preparedness to take particular steps for improvement and strengthening the contacts between the two Parliaments.
The interlocutors agreed that the good parliamentary cooperation between the two states is an example for good cooperation in other fields; good example for the citizens and the business community, providing inspiration for further cooperation and friendly relations.
The President Veljanoski underlined that the economic cooperation significantly contributed in deepening the relations between the two states and underlined the efforts of the Government for constant promotion of the economic conditions and business climate in the state aiming to attract foreign investments in direction of better living standard for the citizens and higher competitiveness of the state.
The President Veljanoski also recognized the constant policy of the Kingdom of Denmark for support of the enlargement process of EU, above all with Western Balkan States and expressed appreciation for the support that the Republic of Macedonia receives in regard with the integration in NATO and EU, underlining the efforts of the Republic of Macedonia for constant achievement of the needed criteria for the integration.
