MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT VELJANOSKI WITH THE FIRST PRIME MINISTER AND MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA, MR. IVICA DAČIĆ  

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski had a meeting with the First Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Ivica Dačić. 

At the beginning of the meeting, the President Veljanoski underlined his pleasure from the meeting, welcoming the guest on his personal behalf and on behalf of the Members of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia. 

The meeting referred to the current affairs in the Region but also in the world. The interlocutors discussed the developments in their states as well. 

President Veljanoski and Minister Dačić expressed wish for integration of both countries in the European Union as soon as possible and discussed the challenges the aspiring states are facing with. Also, they underlined the friendly relations between the states and the mutual support. The joint Session of the two Governments and the Agreement on the Conditions for Travelling of the Citizens of Both States were underlined as positive examples of friendship. 

The discussion also referred to the bilateral economic cooperation, which is good, but there is always room for improvement.   

The meeting was finalized with the statements of openness and preparedness for regional cooperation and progress, as well as continuation of the friendship between the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Serbia.
