THE PRESIDENT VELJANOSKI WELCOMED THE NEWLY APPOINTED AMBASSADOR OF THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND TO THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA, MR. CHARLES GARRET  

Welcoming the Ambassador, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski expressed pleasure from the meeting and wished success in the work to the newly appointed Ambassador o the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, H.E. Charles Edmund Garret.  

The President Veljanoski referred to the achieved project in cooperation with the previous Ambassador Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Macedonia for strengthening the overall capacities of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, realized through the Westminster Foundation for Democracy and expressed preparedness for maintaining and deepening the cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.  

Additionally, the President Veljanoski informed the Ambassador on the executed early parliamentary elections, which received positive evaluations, as well as on the working plans of the Assembly in the future period.  

Ambassador Garret, expressing appreciation for the meeting, underlined his personal preparedness and the preparedness for the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for supporting the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia in facing all the challenges brought by the daily functioning of the Assembly, as well as promotion and deepening the cooperation.  

The interlocutors agreed that the supports from Ambassadors of the friendly states who are well acquainted with the current events are a major benefit for the Assembly, but also for the state.
