Allow me to express how pleased I am today, as we celebrate the 111th Anniversary of the Bitola Congress and the unification of the Albanian alphabet, to greet you as President of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia and on behalf of my fellow Members of Parliament to seize this opportunity to congratulate you on the most important day in the history of Albanians’ political and cultural development, as the decisions of this congress represent one of the pillars that helped accelerate Albanian culture and education taking it to a higher level.

President Wilson was a visionary, a diplomat, and a man with a clear world view – that the President should always be in the service of the people and that the people are the sovereign who must decide their own fate.

Address of the President Xhaferi on the Occasion of World Children’s Day 

Allow me to express how joyful I am to be here, with you on this beautiful day - World Children's Day, and greet you on behalf of the Members of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia and on my own behalf. To say that although the Universal Declaration and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child establishes 20 November as the Universal Children's Day, it does not mean that the remaining 364 days we should not celebrate it; advocate, protect your rights and enable your growth and progress.

Not much time has passed since the last time I was here, at the Universal Peace Federation Summit, where I had the honour to speak on behalf of the Members of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia and on my own behalf, on the topic "Peace, Security and Human Development in Southeast Europe", which considerably relates to the topic of today's Conference, "Religion as an Instrument of Peace".

I am pleased to have the opportunity, on behalf of the Members of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia and on my own behalf, to deliver my address at this Conference before my colleagues, Presidents of Parliaments of the South East European countries and the Visegrad Group, and express my deep respect for your constant support and sincere friendship, as evidenced by your presence here and the Joint Declaration, a product of this forum. I am convinced that the Declaration will be forwarded and accepted with the best of intentions, as intended.

Address of the President of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia at the European Conference of Presidents of Parliament on the topic "Our Common European Home": the next 70 years

Allow me, on behalf of the Members of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia and on my own behalf to congratulate everyone on the marking of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Council of Europe, the leading human rights organization on the continent, with 47 European member states, which aside from being on the same continent, have one more, very important thing in common, that is, they are signatories of the European Convention on Human Rights, which is actually a treaty for the protection of human rights, democracy and the rule of law.
