President of the Assembly, Mr. Talat Xhaferi in an official visit to Brussels
At the invitation of the high representatives of the European Union and the European Parliament, the President of the Assembly Mr. Talat Xhaferi made today his first official visit to the European Union. According to the agenda the president Talat Xhaferi will meet the Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn and the EU High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Ms. Federica Mogherini.
In addition, the President of the Assembly will meet with the President of the European Parliament, Mr. Antonio Tajani as well as MEPs Ivo Vajgl, Eduard Kukan and Knut Fleckenstein.
During the meetings, Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi will once again re-affirm our determination to become a full-fledged member of the European Union, as well as the role of the parliament in those processes.
Furthermore, Speaker Xhaferi will introduce his interlocutors with internal developments with a special emphasis on the continuation of the process of forming a new government as an expression of the parliamentary majority which reflects the will of the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia expressed during the parliamentary elections held last December.
