DELEGATION FROM THE ASSEMBLY AT THE PARLIAMENTARY MEETING OF THE ENERGY COMMUNITY
Delegation from the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia composed of Ms. Vladanka Avirovic, Mr. Dragan Cuklev, Mr. Rexhail Ismaili and Mr. Nikolce Acevski took part in the first meeting of Energy Community Contracting Party parliamentarians - Group of Friends of Energy Community, held yesterday in the Energy Community Secretariat in Vienna, Austria. The meeting was organised in the form of a one day workshop in cooperation with the Regional Cooperation Council.

The Delegation of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE PA), composed of Dr. Ana Pavlovska Daneva - Head of Delegation, and Mr. Xhevat Ademi - deputy member of the Delegation, is participating at the 22nd Annual Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Europe that is being held in Istanbul, Turkey, from 29 June to 3 July 2013.

THE PRESIDENT VELJANOSKI WELCOMED THE NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE WORLD BANK, MR. FRANK HEEMSKERK
At the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged opinions on many issues of interest for the cooperation between the Republic of Macedonia and the World Bank. The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski informed the guest on the great interest and the justification for the cooperation with the World Bank, especially from the aspect that it is an assistance that the Republic of Macedonia receives under very good conditions and that, inter alia, the assistance of the World Bank prevented the economic crisis to influence he Republic of Macedonia on larger scale.
The President Veljanoski underlined that the Assembly is at disposal for cooperation, especially when enabling the citizens to realistically feel the benefit from the cooperation with the World Bank.

On 19 June the Subcommittee on Human Rights held a meeting in the European Parliament in Brussels. The participants exchanged views and opinion on the legal aspects of the freedom of expression and the media in the Western Balkans and Turkey. The meeting was chaired by the Member of the European Parliament Ms. Barbara Lochbihler.

In accordance with the determination for realization of the declared intentions from the previous conferences in practice, this Conference is a conference of the continuity of the present, former and future presidency. Thus, we are represented at today’s press conference- the president of the National Assembly of Serbia, Mr. Nebojša Stefanović; the President of the House of Representatives, Mr. Valeriu Stefan Zgonea and the President of the Senate of Romania, Mr. Florin Constantinescu. The reaffirmation of the functioning of the Troika is especially important in the present phase of transformation and institutionalization of the regional parliamentary cooperation.
