MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT VELJANOSKI AND MR. OWEN JENKINS  

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski had a meeting with the Director and Head of Department on Western Balkans and Enlargement from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Mr. Owen Jenkins. The Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Mr. Charles Garret attended the meeting as well.

MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT VELJANOSKI WITH THE FIRST PRIME MINISTER AND MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA, MR. IVICA DAČIĆ 

At the beginning of the meeting, the President Veljanoski underlined his pleasure from the meeting, welcoming the guest on his personal behalf and on behalf of the Members of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia. 

The meeting referred to the current affairs in the Region but also in the world. The interlocutors discussed the developments in their states as well.

MEETING OF THE PRESIDENT VELJANOSKI AND THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF COMMONS OF CANADA, THE HONOURABLE ANDREW SCHEER 

At the beginning of the meeting the President Veljanoski expressed great pleasure from the opportunity to host his colleague and thanked him for visiting the Republic of Macedonia, underlining that these visits are a confirmation of the close friendly relations between the Republic of Macedonia and Canada which certainly will be developed in the future as well.

THE PRESIDENT VELJANOSKI WELCOMED THE NEWLY APPOINTED, EXTRAORDINARY AND PLENIPOTENTIARY AMBASSADOR OF THE STATE OF ISRAEL TO THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA LOCATED IN JERUSALEM

The President Veljanoski underlined the efforts for intensification of the contacts on the level of Speakers, but also on the level of Parliamentary Groups for Cooperation and MPs, as well as personal pleasure to welcome delegations from the State of Israel to the Republic of Macedonia. Ambassador Oryan agreed and expressed wish for deepening the cooperation between the two states in the areas of mutual interest such as education, energy and environment, as addition to the state and parliamentary cooperation.

THE PRESIDENT VELJANOSKI HAD A MEETING WITH THE HONOURABLE MICHAEL SUTHERLAND, PRESIDENT OF THE PARLIAMENT OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA  

At the beginning of the meeting, Honourable Michael Sutherland expressed pleasure for the opportunity to visit the Republic of Macedonia, to see the hospitality of its citizens, as well as for the opportunity to meet the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski.

OFFICIAL VISIT OF THE PRESIDENT VELJANOSKI TO THE REPUBLIC OF TURKEY 

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski heads the Delegation of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, comprised of the MPs Kenan Hasipi, Ilija Dimovski and Rexhail Ismaili and Gazmend Aliji, during the two- day’s official visit to the Republic of Turkey.

The President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Trajko Veljanoski met the Senior Member of the Directors' Board of NDI, Mr. Hauard Dean, the Regional Director of NDI for Central and Eastern Europe, Mr. Robert Benjamin and the NDI Director for Macedonia, Mr. Chris Henshaw.

The interlocutors expressed pleasure from the meeting and concluded that this visit is another confirmation for the good relations and sincere friendship between the Republic of Macedonia and the United Kingdom, as well as willingness for future cooperation and support.

THE PRESIDENT VELJANOSKI WELCOMED THE NEWLY APPOINTED AMBASSADOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA TO THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA, MR. PETRIT BUSHATI   

The interlocutors agreed that the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Albania have excellent bilateral cooperation, friendly relations and expressed their wish to continue this cooperation, through the realization of new project and exchange of ideas. The cooperation and the exchange of opinions are important on the path towards the European integration, as the only alternative for the courtiers of the Region.
